Watts Energy Response to Coronavirus COVID-19

In response to the current COVID-19 outbreak, Watts Energy have applied the measures and advice of the Australian Federal Government Department of Health and directed our staff and any employees who may be attending sites to take all necessary steps to prevent the spread of the virus.

In particular, Watts Energy has advised our staff that they must:

  • Practice Good Hygiene measures both at the office and when attending sites;
  • Advise Watts Energy if they have any flu-like symptoms and must self-isolate themselves and remain away from the office for at least 24 hours after the symptoms have subsided; and
  • Self-isolate if they have, or they have come into contact with someone who has recently travelled to/through one of the countries listed as having a higher risk of COVID-19.

Watts Energy can confirm that none of our staff have recently travelled to any of the high risk countries listed in the Australian Department of Health alert dated 29 February 2020.

Watts Energy will continue to monitor the Australian Department of Health website for any updates on actions that employers must follow. Watts Energy takes the health and well-being of its staff and the people we may come in contact with on a day-to-day basis seriously and will continue to work with our clients to ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. Watts Energy will also advise clients if we become aware of, or suspect one of our staff may have contracted COVID-19.

We are committed to providing excellent service to our clients by ensuring they receive friendly, efficient and cost effective service together with up-to-date information including but not limited to the electricity regulations.
